2016 – Germany, Egypt – Research Project on Photovoltaic powered Sea Water Desalination

The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is implementing a research project on the development, installation, operation, data collection, monitoring and analysis of a solar PV powered reverse osmosis desalination system to be located in El Gouna, Egypt. As part of a 4 parties consortium, deea is performing the design and layout of the solar PV component of the system. The project is financed by the German Ministry of Education and Research.

2016 – Namibia – Solar Market Development and Promotion Program

deea solutions managed and implemented a Solar PV promotion project in cooperation with the German Energy Agency (dena) in line with “Renewable Energy Solutions Programme 2015/2017”. The program was launched by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy and aims to support German solar companies in entering and exploring new markets. A hands-on training for local engineers and a comprehensive marketing campaign is launched to promote electricity from Solar PV as an reliable and competitive source of energy in Namibia and to promote products and services of participating German project partners.

2016 – Bolivia – Social Impact Assessment for the 50MW Solar PV Power Plant in Oruro according to IFC Performance Standards

The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) aims to finance the 50MWp solar Power plant in Oruro, Bolivia. In that context, AFD has assigned deea to assess the social impacts of the planed solar power plant to the affected communities of La Joya and Ancotanga. The study was carried out by the deea social impact assessment expert and a team of local experts in accordance with the IFC Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability.

2016 – Uzbekistan – PV Commissioning Expert for the 100 MWp Samarkant Solar Power Project

The Government of Uzbekistan is planning to increase the share of renewable energy in the generation mix and prioritized construction of the 100 MW Solar Power Plant in the Samarkand region. The Project is the first large scale PV power plant in Central Asia. deea acts on behalf of GOPA Intec with the following scope of services:
Technical Input regarding EPC contract as well as during construction & commissioning phase with respect to the commissioning of the plant.

2016 – Bolivia – Load Flow Study for 50MWp Solar PV Implementation plus Tender Documents

The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) has assigned deea to conduct a dynamic load flow study study in order to assess the impact of the PV plant on the electricity grid, including different generation and load scenarios and to assist the implementing utility Empresa Nacional de Electricidad Bolivia (ENDE) in the preparation of the tender documents according to the requirements of the AFD.

2015 – Worldwide – Report on Solar PV Balance of System (BoS) Cost Reduction Potential to 2025

The International Renwable Energy Agency (IRENA) is continuously analysing the future cost reduction and performance improvements for various renewable energy technologies, including solar PV. Goal is to assess cost level and breakdown of existing balance of system (BOS) costs for different markets in three market segments, cost drivers and cost reduction potential until 2025. The Scope includes the following services:
Data collection and verification, assessment of technological state of the art in target markets; participation in assessment of cost level and breakdown of existing balance of system costs as well as participation in analysis of cost drivers and cost reduction potential and outlook until 2025.

2015 – Bolivia – Feasibility Study and Drafting of Tender Documents of the 50 MWp Solar PV Project Solar Uyuni Colcha K

The Bolivian utility Guaracachi has assigned the consortium of deea and INGPROCON to conduct a feasibility study incuding development, design and tender preperation for the 50MWp solar PV project Solar Uyuni Colcha K ground-mounted system, located in the department of Uyuni, Bolivia. The Scope includes the following services: Site Selection, Setting of Suitable Configuration, Design and Sizing, Financial Model including LCOE calculation, Environmental ans Social Impact Assessment (ESIA).

2015 – Azerbaijan – Technical Input on Solar Resource and Technological Options

Technical Input on Solar Resource and Technological Options for the use of Solar Energy in Azerbaijan for the German Chamber of Commerce. The Scope includes the following services: Clarification on Technological Options for Use of Solar Energy; Commenting on Solar Resource and Verification of technological status of Solar Energy in Azerbaijan.
